1. Order Form
First, you'll compile your photos, music, videos, titles – everything you want on your pictures DVD show. Then, you'll fill out the order form, which tells us the order of your photos and songs, as well as any other details about your show. You may either ship your materials to us or take advantage of our pickup or dropoff options. We'll take it from there!

2. Photos
Our first task is to scan your photographs. We always scan at high resolutions, which ensures that your photos will look fantastic onscreen. Moreover, we scan each photo individually, by hand, to ensure its safety and the quality of our work. No automated scanners here! We can scan all sizes of photos, from tiny slides to large 8x10s.

Next, we use Photoshop to optimize each photo individually. Optimization begins with contrast adjustments, which can brighten an image and enhance detail enormously. Next, we work on color, removing any color casts and saturating washed-out images. Finally, we remove flaws: dust, scratches, spots, rips, and red eyes. While our optimization not intended to be photo restoration, our efforts do help ensure that each photo will look its best in your photo show.

3. The Ken Burns Effect: Panning and Zooming
We arrange your photos in order and then assign motion to them. While a few photos are set as stills, we set "zooms" and "pans" on most of them. These artistic techniques create an amazing sense of movement within the DVD for presentation. The video at the left shows how zooms and pans can enliven a staid group photo, and focus attention on each person one by one.

4. Photo Slide Show Music
Next, we choreograph the length of each photo to work with the music, creating a blend of sight and sound that evokes a profound emotional response. Using professional audio software, we can custom-edit your songs perfectly, including looping verses to add length or editing songs to shorten them. We do much more than just fade your song out whenever the photos happen to end in the photo video slideshow (like most services)!

5. Titles, Captions, and Videos
We can add as many titles, captions, and videos as you need. Timeless DVD does not offer price packages, so you have freedom to select as many elements as your show needs. This saves you money! Plus, as a full-service video studio, we can transfer tape to DVD from any source you have.

6. Professional encoding and authoring
Like any truly legitimate video studio, Timeless DVD uses professional video software for editing a slideshow with music. This includes using a dedicated slideshow editor such as Photodex Producer, a video program such as Final Cut Pro, and a DVD encoder such as Cinema Craft or MainConcept. These programs provide us with the greatest flexibility in developing and customizing your DVD photo slideshow, as well as the best video quality possible.

7. Packaging
Finally, your slideshow is packaged – using a photo of your choice – with a Main Menu, a color cover, and a professional DVD case. Also, we only use Taiyo Yuden discs, which are widely considered the highest-quality media available, and your DVD is printed in full color with a Primera Bravo disc printer. Every DVD we produce features exceptional graphic design.
